Oktoberfest '17
Mercer County’s official Oktoberfest In the Park will be Sept. 30 at Bluefield City Park. This second annual beer festival carries on the tradition of the original Oktoberfest held for decades in Historic Bramwell. The festival begins at 3 p.m., with music from local favorite, The Kind Thieves, followed by Appalachian Rock headliner Big Daddy Love out of Winston-Salem, N.C., The festival will end at 8 p.m.

To help celebrate the Oktoberfest in a quality fashion, we designed two shirts exclusively for the festival, including a grey classic tee and a royal-blue football tee. Both shirts feature a subtle "3 Up 2 Up" Germanic font. The Bluefield City Park serves as the warm inviting backdrop for this theme. A perfect kickoff to the fall season "In the Park".
These shirts are for preorder only and can be picked up at 621 Commerce St. in Bluefield, WV or at the Oktoberfest (the day of the festival). Tickets for unlimited samples and the concert are $25 in advance and $30 at the gate for adults ages 18 and older. Attendees age 17 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. Tickets can be purchased online at www.eventbrite.com and at Goodykoontz Pharmacy, all area Grant’s locations, Paper and More, P Town Cell Repair, Summit Bank/Stafford Drive, the Greater Bluefield Chamber of Commerce, and the Mercer County Convention and Visitors Bureau

Complimentary shuttle transportation to-and-from Oktoberfest will be provided by the City of Bluefield. Pick up/drop off locations include the Chuck Mathena Center for Autumnfest attendees, Brushfork Armory and, for ATV riders, Buffalo Trail Campground. Shuttles will run at 2 p.m. Attendees will need to present valid identification at the gate in order to receive a band to sample craft beer.
